MF 35 bent front axle

Hi all,
Have aquired a 35x that has had some rough treatment causing a twisted front axle. The tractor has been running on the narrrowest track setting so the twist is between the centre pivot and the inner end of the movable axle. It appears to have around a 10 degree twist that is greater then normal. The workshop manual gives 5 degree caster as spec. but doesn't suggest how to bend the axle to adjust it. Do any of the MF intellegence have a proven methord of fixing? I have considerable material resoreses and I'm sure its been done before. I would be just a little more comfortable if I was following some bodies success story.

That's going to be tough to fix, not saying it can't be done... I would be afraid to heat it, believe it's forged steel, extremely tough.

Best solution find a used factory one. Second best, aftermarket. If you're not using a front bucket, aftermarket should be fine.

Thanks Steve for your reply. No I don't have any front mounted equipment and the tractor is only ever going to be used for light work. I have had the axle out and replaced the pin and bush, so have had a chance to inspect the twisted area very closely. There are no visible signs of stress marks. I beleive I can twist it back satisfactorly. I'm not sure whether I should try and do it in situ (It was bent cold on the tractor and didn't damage any other part). Or should I bolt it down using a large bolt and steel spacer through the pivot hole to something solid (like my D6 drawbar) then using a large lever to twist it back? All suggestions appreiated no suggestion to silly.
