my hyd pump shaft snapped. so i bought a used one then only one cylinder was working. so i bought all new seals and etc tried to rebuild myself but it was beyound me i rebiult the engine but the hrd was to much. so i took it to a jd dealer and paid deerely to have them rebuild it i put the rear end rockshafts on myself, for 3 months worked greta moving hay. then today the hydraulics started to get jumpy consitent like a clock. when you pick a bale up all the way to the top it jumps like it wants to shake the tractor apart.
any help would be apreciated.
thanks kevin

the pump is starving for fluid , mite change filters, get the jd filter ,, change fluid to a liter oil ,or perhaps you are simply low on hydro oil ...

"Get a John Deere" filter ?
Well, I've been in a filter factory, and seen generic filters coming off of the line, and going down one side and getting "Champ" brand stenciled
on them, and some going down the other side, and
getting a "John Deere" stencil, same spin-on
element...I'll bet the green stencelled ones cost
more !

Not sure what type pump this is, but if it's a piston pump, sounds like one or more of the pistons is not carrying it's share of the load. Maybe broken valve, valve spring, trash between valve and seat, etc.

The old Ferguson was doing this and it had bad valves in the pump.

Sounds to me like it could just be an adjustment on the 3pt. for the lift linkage ? or It may be settling under the load and keeps trying to hold position also ?

well i put fluid in it it was a little low but it is still jumpy in a consistent way every 10 secounds bump bump,

I would bet that your hydraulic pump is fine. Your three point lift cylinder circuit is leaking. The jumping is the three point linkage telling the tractor to lift the arms after they have settled down. Watch the lift arms and see if they are jumping up and down when you have a load on them.

Even if the hydraulic pump has sticking pistons it will not make the three point jump after it is all the way up. The control valve should hold it in position and the oil is just returned to the sump.

So you either have a lift cylinder leaking, one of the control valves leaking, or the control linkage bent or out of adjustment.

I would bet that the lift cylinder packing/oring is bad. This is common and can happen all at once.

Would need to know which lift you have to look up a parts break down. It makes a difference if you have a single lever or the two lever for cultivators.

it is a dual cylinder hydraulics there is only one lever but you could put two. right now theres only the outside lever there. I had given them and they replaced all the seals and rings in the hydraulics. but who knows.
thanks for any help.
