VH4D update

Hi all,

Been a while and thought since many of you were such a huge part of getting the engine started I would update y"all on where I"m at on the rebuild, engine is installed back in the skid loader, all new wiring has been installed per Bob"s diagram, new throttle assembly and choke assembly installed, new battery installed, hydro pumps reinstalled, new seat installed. Waiting on new muffler and exhaust flapper , and new fuel tank to come in and in a few hours it should be moving around. Will post pics after I get the beast out of the garage. Scott

We were wondering how your project was coming along. It won't be long you will be pushing snow. Hal

Yeah I hope so Hal, hopefully all is good with the hydro"s not sure how to go about that? I was told to just start the loader let it run and the system bleeds itself? Not sure is it like breaks on a car?

Scott, hydraulic systems will bleed themselves . But, you need to keep the oil tank full at all times and don't starve the pump from oil. Once the engine is running raise and lower bucket and lift arms. May make some growling noises but can be normal that's from air. Cylinders will move more when they get more oil and the air out. Good luck and I've followed your thread also. Good Job !!!
