wiring change from make break to regulator

I am in the initial stages of wireing up my bn sreies [ similar to a]
I am changein from a cutout relay to a regulator >>ALL 6 VOLT<<
I am noticing > at the regulator end of the wire ONE lead goes to batery ONE lead goes to load>> at the pannel end one leed [ batery conects to the batery through the ampmeter. ??? where does the load line connect to?
MY guess it the 3 position light switch I realy don"t know, though.
All diagrams I have don"t give a clear view of a voltage relay set up.[ I have about 5 diagrams, older type yet nothing clear; most with cut out one with relay yet not clear to its markings.

With a 2 terminal Cutout Relay, one lead down from the ammeter wires to the (Battery) BAT terminal, other lead labeled GEN or ARM wires to Generators ARM post, and the gennys FLD post wires to the ligth switch

ITS THE SAME THING AS IF ITS A FULL FLEDGED VOLTAGE REGULATOR it also has a BAT terminal and a GEN/ARM terminal (that's the internal cutout relay portion) but a FLD terminal where the Gennys FLD post wires, versus if it were a cutout relay system where the gennys FLD post wires instead to the light switch.

If you use a VR DO NOT wire the gennys FLD post to the light switch, wire it to the FLD post on the VR instead. If its a Cutout Relay, the gennys FLD wires to light switch

VOLTAGE REGULATOR WIRING

BAT on VR to load (NOT battery/starter) side of ammeter
GEN/ARM on VR to Gennys ARM post
FLD post on Genny to VR's FLD terminal

Didn't you use Bob M's diagrams??

You are quite correct as far as you went. The L terminal does indeed feed the light switch BAT terminal but it also feeds the ignition switch if you have a battery ignition distributor INSTEAD of a magneto.
 
I didn't do the wiring but will check this out. The wiring looked right and he did follow a diagram that came with the conversion kit. I'll double check and appreciate the suggestion!
