Hi guys, I have a MM UTS with new plugs/wires, dis.cap, coil, rotor, points, condenser, and rebuilt carb. It will fire up great and idle away. However it will always start missing after about 15 min and then stop running. The distributor/points/condenser are completely covered in black soot and I am loosing my spark there as a result. Wires running to the coil are not in great shape. Once I clean them up I will get my spark back a bit but without stripping those out and cleaning everything up in the distributor it won't run consistently . Why am I getting so much soot in the distributor???
