Just setup an Electrolysis Tank

Picked up the tank about three years ago and finally decided to try it out. Started with a MM ZTU front wheel. Looks like its going to work. After the tank I pressure washed to clean the loose paint and crud off. Then a quick trip thru the blast cabinet and followed that with some Ospho.

When I built my setup several years ago I was told to use
Tri-Sodium Phosphate(TSP)available at Home Depot as the cleaning compound. It is supposed to prevent flash rust.

Thanks, steamnjn23. I'll give it a try on the next batch.

I'm on my third restoration with electrolysis. Works great. It does all the work. Wire brush the electrodes occasionally for better cleaning. Looks good.

I had noticed the amperage had dropped down to about 2-3 amps from about 8 to start with. I couldn't believe all of the crud stuck to the electrode metal when I checked it. I better check it more often.

I think I got it open now.
