VH4D Confirming Bob's thoughts

Hi All, confirming what Bob was kind enough to share please see the attached pictures , the first one shows what the pistons and valves looked like when I first took off the cover, please note the location of the mounting screws of the cover left and right 1st down from the top. and then look at the second picture of the cover still on, note the spark plug hole in relation to the mounting screws? BEND STRAW IDEA HAS TO HAPPEN TO REACH THE PISTON PICTURE CLEARLY SHOWS PISTON IS BELOW THE SPARK PLUG HOLE. JUST BACKING BOB UP WITH PICTURES, CANT WAIT TO GET HOME AND FIND OUT WHAT THIS NEW FIND WILL DO TO ALL THE TIMING, HOPEFULLY EVERYTHING ONCE I FIND TDC WILL LINE UP.

I think when No1 piston is at TDC on the compression stroke so is No4. I wonder if the cam gear was removed for cleaning. I see it's bolted on using 3 cap screws. Hal

No idea and I didn"t really leave the shop on good terms , they jerked me around after paying them 3k for this work and I thought I was getting an engine back that I could drop right back in and continue on with the project, instead it"s been 3 months and its still not running. If we parted ways on good terms I would call him and ask.
