I have an early model JD 4010 that the brakes grab and will lock when applied. I had the brake valve rebuilt because it was leaking but it didn"t change anything. Does anyone have have any advice on what to check or had this happen to them. Thanks

Drain the hydraulic oil and check the sump screen. I would bet that you are going to find shavings off the brakes in the screen.

When they wear the pads down they will crab fro a while then they get metal to metal and quit grabbing but start to cause other issues.

If you find brake shavings/metal on the screen. You will need to remove each final drive from the differential housing to repair the brakes.
