Farmall cub problems with stalling

I have recently bought a farmall cub and it runs well, but after about 15 minutes of running, it stalls out. I can get it started again, but it will only run with the choke part way out. Originialy I thought it was an electrical problem, but I replaced the points, rotor, and condensor and it still stalls. I also thought it might be a problem withnthe carb, so I cleaned it outand the problem still persists. I have also cleaned out the sediment bulb, mace sure the tractos is getting enough fuel, and cleaned out the air cleaner. What could possibly still be causing this problem?

Needing the choke indicates a fuel supply problem. What test told you that it is getting adequate gas?

did you pull the plug on the bottom of the carb? how much fuel comes out? should be a steady stream for a few minutes if not you still have a blockage you will have to backtrack untill you find it, but first remove the gas cap, start the tractor and see if it still stalls out the wrong gas cap can cause this, just because it fits on it dont mean its the right cap for it. also if you have a add on inline fuel filter get rid of it, uless its for a motorcycle or a lawn mower most inline fuel filters are designed for a presurized fuel system which if you have a cub you do not have, yours is gravity feed ,the wrong filter will not let enough gas thru , if you have the fuel screens still on the cub you dont need to add a filter into the system

a faulty coil will; also fail when it heats up the next time the tractor shuts down immeadatly pull a plug wire and see if you have spark, this will tell you if your dealing with a fuel or electrical issue

Disconnect the gas line at the carburetor and see if there's full stream of gas from the tank. If there's just a trickle your gas tank is probably full of rust and crud blocking the gas flow. Use a good flashlight and shine it down in the tank. Use a clean container to catch the gas.

If there's a full stream of gas from the tank remove the tube fitting at the carb where your gas line connects and look for a screen that may be plugged. You may need to soak that carburetor
in carb cleaner and use air and make sure all the
jets are open. Hal
