All good points, but what about my carburetor? Head is going to the shop, to get checked. I hadn't thought about the cam, but it should go to. Piston tops are in good shape, but haven't got them out. So they'll need to check. Thermostat was still in place, and water pump looks worn. Will need rebuild or replaced. Air cleaner was fairly clean, but intake tube was about half way blocked with dirt. There was also a good amount of crud in the water jacket. I need to find some one who can check the radiator. I have a long way to go.

The carb can be done at home if you want to take the time and have the patience. Roberts Carb has the parts, peices and tooling. There are no short cuts on those carbs. A soak in carb cleaner and a blast of compressed air won't gain a thing.
