hey yall i posted awhile ago on painting a John Deere 494A packer wheels. anyways there was a guy that said to use rubber cement which i used that and then i taped the outside rubber. anyways i was just wondering how you removed the rubber cement besides rubbing it off with your hands haha ? Let me know Thanks.

I never used rubber cement before when painting. I have used plumbers grease though. It washes off with water.
I've painted a lot of those press wheels with the rubber tire on them. I just paint the inside of the press wheel and the inside of the rubber tire. If any paint gets on the sides of the rubber along the outer edge I just take a solvent rag and wipe the excess paint off.
You'll never get those rubber wheels off the press wheel. I have used a cut off wheel to remove cracked rubber tires. New ones cost close to $75 if you want to put them back on the press wheel.
This is just my experience with the press wheels.

oh yeah well i heard a guy that used rubber cement n was good i shoulda expermented i guess shoulda tried grease lol and ic well my wheels are cracked on the inside but not 2 bad on the outside tho.
