Anybody know where I can find a bucket lift cylinder for my model 2050 international loader. Took it to get seals put in it and they say the shaft is bent. Dealer says the whole cylinder or the shaft are no longer available. Can anybody help?

I don't know your location, but we've had Mid-states Hydraulic (Alexandria, MN) make cylinders and parts for us at work. Not sure what kind of cost, but we keep going back...

Would a cylinder with the overall extended lenght fit? As long as the bore and rod are the same size?

The guy at the shop told me he could make it. The cost is over $500.00. That why I was interested in a after market replacement.

Look for a different shop, $500 is excessive for a new rod and seals.

If the shaft isn't bent too bad, a good hyd. or machine shop can straighten it. If it needs replacing, the shop could make you a new shaft.

A good cylinder shop can make new shafts.

I've always been able to match something up with a "will fit" from Northern Tool on things like that.

I found a after market close to what I need but its only rated at 2500 psi. Will that work?

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. LoL Both bucket cylinders need to be the same or one cylinder will get pounded at the end of the stroke or twist your bucket. I agree to look for another shop to make a new shaft if the old one can't be straightened. If it wasn't instantly noticeable the shaft was bent, it can probably be straightened in a press using V blocks and a dial indicator. A machine shop could do this for you and it shouldn't cost very much at all.
