Two possibilities. Remote hyd SCV hookup(s). With a loader needing one circuit, can plug into one SCV. All hyd loader, you need two remote SCV valves. Or, in front of the brake pedals, there is a 90 degree fitting, sending oil to the rockshaft on the rear of the tractor. Replace the 90 with a Tee fitting, and run a line from the Tee to a hyd valve for the loader. Then you need an oil return line from the valve, to the tractor hyd oil sump. That can be done by buying a ported cover for the transmission filter, and running the return line to that cover.

Do not return oil to sump. The transmission pump is much too small to supply the front pump. Oil must be returned to the point between the trans pump discharge and the dirty side of the hydraulic filter. That is either via a ported filter cover, a power beyond block connection or "T" into the rockshaft return line.

The filter cover is returning oil to the return system after the trans pump which is where it needs to go. JMS was right in returning oil to the filter cover but wrong in calling it the sump. Returning to sump will starve the main hyd pump for oil. Hope this helps.

The local Deere dealer used to just drill a hole in the filter cover and tap them to a half inch pipe thread. The one on my 1020 is drilled and tapped.
