Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

Info is easy enough to find on-line.

Use FIAT parts lookup:

http://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts-search.html#epc::mr56558ar957886

to get the IH part numbers, then use

http://www.skf.com/binary/12-66347/457013.pdf

to cross the bearings to industry numbers, and

http://www2.chicago-rawhide.com/popup_parts_lookup_457012.htm

to cross the seal numbers. After all this, I wonder how much cheaper you can find them than simply having the dealer get them?

Thanks Bob for the information, but somehow the
info. and exploded diagram in link you sent was lost
on the CaseIH site when I clicked on "find a dealer"
when I back clicked it went back to the same page
with a different layout, I don't know what happened,
and from what I see the Farmall 400 is not listed on
the CaseIH site only newer models.

Go to:

http://partstore.caseih.com/us/

Click "Parts Catalog" at the left.

Then, click "Find by model".

Then click "Search".

A box will open "Search by model".

Enter "400".

Hit "Search".

A list will come up, including IH 400 gas or IH 400 diesel.

Click on the one you have.

The final drive breakdowns are in the "Chassis" section.
