WHILE MOWING THE OTHER DAY, THE LIFT WENT ALL THE WAY UP ON IT'S OWN. NOW IT'S STUCK THERE. FROM WHAT I'VE READ ON HERE, SEEMS A VALVE IS STUCK. NO BIG PROBLEM THERE. ONLY PROBLEM IS, I NEED TO GET THE MOWER OFF AND NEED TO LOWER THE LIFT TO DO SO. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO BLEED THE PRESSURE OFF? ALSO, WHEN I REACH INTO THE ACCESS HOLE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE HOUSING, I CAN FEEL THE CONTROL VALVE AND THE LINKAGE GOING TO IT. THE LINKAGE IS LOOSE AND FLOPPY WHETHER THE CONTOL LEVER IS UP OR DOWN. IS THIS NORMAL OR COULD THE CONTROL LEVER NOT PUSHING THE VALVE IN BE MY PROBLEM? EITHER WAY, THE BIG ISSUE IS GETTING THE LIFT LOWERED IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE TOP COVER. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Loosen the bolts holding the remote control valve onto the lift cover. It WILL get messy.

GUESS I NEED TO CLARIFY A LITTLE ABOUT THE TRACTOR. IT'S A '68 5000 ROW CROP WITH ONE HYDRAULIC REMOTE AND NO LOAD MONITOR.
