To answer your question, they do make compression gauges to check diesels. In addition to the gauge you would need an adapter that fits in the Injector hole after removing the injector. Normal compression gauges will not likely go to high enough pressure as the diesel has much higher compression. Just checking fuel at the injector lines does not assure the injectors are operating properly. A diesel pump repair shop would check your injectors for a very reasonable fee. Does the tractor smoke at start up? Does the smoke clear up after the engine is warm. Does the tractor start easier/more difficult after it is warmed up. As you may see here there are lots of variables to consider. some more information (and followups for those reading the posts) would be very helpful in diagnosing your starting issue.
