Spray Paint in can

I am going to restore a Case 180 Garden Tractor. I am thinking of using Spray Paint cans for the painting. My question who makes the best quality paint in the can? Both the original paint and clear coat. Around here most farm supply stores do not carry the Case paint in the spray can so ordering is not a big deal for me.

Where I live you can't even by Case paint at a Case dealership. You have to order it and they place an order once a year. I'm not fond of rattle can paint but Dupli-Color engine enamel Chevrolet Orange Red De1607 is a match for Flambeau Red. It's available at many auto parts stores. The color for Desert Sunset is more difficult. I haven't seen it in rattle can other than Case. Their number is B1760N for rattle can. You might also look at auto parts stores for 1980 Ford Pastel Chamois touch up spray.

I've never used Van Sickle paint. After painting one tractor with Valspar paint I won't paint a tractor again with anything else than automotive paints. For me it's too much work to dismantle one and prep to use a paint that won't last. I'm using Nason 2k now with epoxy primer.

You can lay a decent enough looking coat of paint with rattle cans - but they fade much faster than paint from the quart and gallon cans.

nnalert use to have the spray cans.
The bigest problem I have seen with spray cans is that you don't put it on heavy enough. Then the don't last very long. You need minimum of 6 or 7 coats.

You might try this.

I used some on my Farmall C a year ago where I had scratched it up. I did the grill, hood and gas tank. The tractor never sees the inside of a building. I see no fade in the first year. I painted it several years ago with Rural King's paint and it faded the first year some.
