Hydraulics on my ford jubilee

While raising the lift lever the lift arms raise smoothly, when you stop the lever the lift arms auto matically stop them abruptly fall several inches them raise back to the original stopping position very fast, vert violently over and over until you lower the lift lever ask way down to the down position. Can anyone tel me what is causing this.
Thanks ken

If you"re in Position Control mode on the lift, you most likely have a leak and the position control is trying to hold position so it keeps readjusting the lift. Fix the leak and the problem shoul go away. Most likely the lift cylinder is leaking( cracked cylinder, worn piston seal, scorecd cylinder, etc) or the relief valve has some stuff holding it part way open, etc. Open the side plate and look and see if the cylinder/piston is leaking when this occurs.

Ken if you have more questions the Ford Forum on this site is a better place to ask these questions.

i agree with jerry on both counts. post in ford, and you are seeing the bobbing or hunting lift endemic to circuit leakdown and regeneration
