my 1954 ford 900 row crop 172 gas motor starts then dies like the timing or governor kicks in like its plowing under a load ? carburetor is rebuilt and fuel tank is new ,good spark act ? |

| Sounds like not getting gas, as in a trickle as opposed to flow. Who rebuilt your carb? |

| | this would probably be a GREAT topic for the ford board.. where the ford GURU's hang out.. :) ok.. a lil mor edetail. how long does it run before it dies. is it a repeatable amount of time. how long before it will restart. have you tried applying choke as it stalls? have you checked spark right at stall?. have you checked for fuel tank vacume at stall.? have you checked fuel flow at carb bowl at time of stall? post back some details. |
