I just picked up a 190xt series III that has been sitting for almost 10 years. Before it was parked it had a brand new powerdirector installed that might have 40 hours on it. It has a hesitation when you engage the power director into either high or low, is this normal of the 190 or should I be concerned? If you cant tell this is my first allis so I dont know what to expect as far as that goes but I am assumeing it should be right there when engaged. And the power steering does not seem to work at all would anyone have any ideas on that. i have tried to bleed it out and it seemed to do nothing for it, but i understand these tacttors the powerdirector and powersteering has the same system. But any help would be great thanks.

A good place to start sorry to say is the I-T AC-202 manual. As for not having power steering if it steers at all it is sort of working since the XT190 is hyd steering and when the engine is not running you have NO steering at all it is all done with hyds. Had one a few years ago and they are either good or bad and can be a money pit of be good. The problem your having maybe a simple fluid and filter problem but as I said the manual if the starting place then read the area that you need to work on. The one I had years ago I picked up cheap and it had a locked up engine due to an injector pump seal problem

That power director the spool floats on the shaft , a spring on each end pushes it to engage high or low range . It will loosen up with use but i would let it set and run out of gear and shift it back & forth low to high a bunch then put it in gear to see if it's better
