allis 190 wont start

Hey all got a stubbron allis 190 6 cyl gas job new points condenser resister plugs wire cap rotor and coil ran fine for 3 days now wont start any ideas as im about to shoot it

Well #1 stop throwing parts at the problem and trouble shoot the problem. Make sure you have a good blue/white spark that will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. Then check that you have a good steady flow of gas for a few minutes. Catch the gas to make sure it is not full of water or dirt etc. Then post back if you still can not figure it out

If there's no fire to your plugs you need to use a volt meter with the points open and the ignition switch in the "on position" and see if you have voltage to your coil. If there's no voltage at the coil you're not getting voltage from your switch. It could be defective or you're not getting voltage to your switch. Could be a loose or broken wire feeding your switch.

If there's no voltage to your coil you can bypass your ignition switch by running a separate wire from your battery to your coil then see if it will start.

If you have voltage at your coil check the point gap and if looks ok replace the condenser. If you have fire to your plugs you need to check your fuel system. An easy way to see if its a fuel problem spray a small amount of carburetor cleaner into the air intake while a helper makes an attempt to start the engine. If the engine fires its not getting gas.
