Farmall Super A clutch won't disengage

Help! I rebuilt the transmission, and put everything back together the way it was, and now the clutch won"t disengage. I did put a new clutch lining in, but it was just about the same thickness as the old one, so I didn"t think adjusting it would be a big deal.

I screwed in all the arm adjusting screws, and adjusted the pedal all the way to the end of the threaded rod, and I still can"t get that drive shaft to stop moving. I"m pretty stressed about it right now (I need it this weekend) and I"m wondering if I should have adjusted something the complete other way. I"m hoping to avoid splitting the tractor. Any suggestions?

I've been thinking about this a little more... I had a really hard time putting the two halves of the machine back together. I wonder if I damaged the pilot bearing. Regardless, any adjustment suggestions would be appreciated before I split the machine tomorrow.

Also, what company would be a good to overnight parts to me?

Wish I could offer a suggestion - but nothing's popping into my head.

You'd probably be much better off posting the question in the farmall/ihc forum though. Somebody there will be able to help.

Did you maybe install the disk back wards?? If you did then it will not disengage. Also did you use a clutch aliment tool or some such thing to get the disk where is has to be?? If not and you force it back together then you stand a good chance you warp the clutch disk
