david brown 1210- remove fuel sustem

Just took the fuel pump off my David Brown 990. Not to big of a job. Same as the 1210 but smaller. Just make sure you shut your deisel off! If not it leak deisel like crazy!

Thanks for that one. I found that out the hard way too. Have I missed something more than the three mounting nuts?

Injector pump, or Lift pump?

Lift pump is pretty obvious, 2 nuts and 2 lines.

Injector pump, the timing gear has to come off before it will come out. Late tractors have and access cover on the front of the timing cover to get to the nut or bolts that hold on the gear. Early tractors require the removal of the timing cover to get at them(I pull the radiator to do this). Other than that it is all straight forward.

How exactly do you shut the fuel off? There isn't a shut off in the system. I crack open the nuts at the tank on the 2 lines to break siphon.
