I have a '39 Ford 9N. It's been running fine until last week when I went to start it. I could here that the starter was making noise, but it was not turning the motor. It just made a whinding noise. I am not a mechanic by any means, but I pulled the started off hoping to find a gear with the teeth ground down or something simple I could fix. When I got it off, the gears looked fine. The wierd thing is that the tractor sat all through winter (I live in Ohio)and started right up the first time I started it this spring. Two weeks later when I went to start it is when this happened. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks,
Derrick
