TO-30 3 pt hitch

I have a 1952 TO-30. I went to disc this week and when I engage the pto, the hitch goes up....even with the lever down!!! The hitch will go back down overnight. but it is useless as is. Any help? Thanks.

Most likely your control valve is stuck. Pull off the side plate and WITH THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN, reach in and pull back on the "T" shaped control valve stem the attached to the "H" shaped control fork. That should cause the hitch to drop. Push the cotrol valve forward! ~1" is it"s range of motion. Move it back and forth and see if it feels stciky. If it does, you"ll have to find out why.
