Just had the motor rebuilt and its cranks and fires....I believe its not getting gas, so i tried a different carb, same result. if i pour gas directly in to the cylinder it will start and run untill it runs out. i get gas all the way to the float but not in to the intake.....when i take the carb apart everything is working fine and free and clear.....maybe a vaccum issue? any help would be appreciated

Are you sure your float is set correctly, and that the needle valve is opening?[/oquote]

Yeah and have tried multiple carbs.....its like like its not sucking the gas in to the intake

Hold your hand over the throat of the carburetor
and have a helper make an attempt to start the engine. See if it has good suction on your hand. Weak suction means you have low intake manifold vacuum. May have a vacuum leak on the intake manifold. Squirt some carburetor cleaner
in the area where your manifold is mated to the engine when trying to start the engine. It it fires you've found the leak and may need a little tightening on the bolts or nuts. Hal

Hold your hand over the throat of the carb and see if there's much suction. You need good manifold vacuum to pull that gas into the engine.
