Not that I ever doubted that it would, but after about six years of occasional applications of penetrating oil and hitting a long drift with BFH I finally took the sheet metal housing off my dynamometer, heated the housing that the brass packing nut threads into, then applied wax. After about ten min. I applied shock force with the drift and hammer and it moved, and then I was able to turn it out with the spanner.
 
I"ve done that many times- first time I posted that here I suggested that if you"re Catholic- use a blessed candle- LOL. Yes, it really does work, even with old birthday candles! On manifold studs, I heat the cast, not the stud......I think the latent heat in the cast helps. Studs get red too quickly, before enough heat has transferred.
