a jd clutch

Just went through this with my Ford 4500....I just put a new clutch in it this early spring...If I dont run it every week, it rusts up, like yours....

Usually it breaks itself free after 1/2 hour of normal driving, but this time I had to take off my starter motor and get in there and manually free it...I took a 1" wide paint scraper, broke it into a 3" long piece...Then I shapened it to a razor edge on a belt sander...I was able to get the tool between the flywheel & the disc and slowly free it up, a section at a time.....

prior to this, I tried EVERYTHING.....raising the right outrigger till the rear tire is free spining, then gun the throttle and raise the out rigger....hold on...I was doing Funny Car wheel stands with a 14,000 pound tractor......not fun...and still didn't free the clutch...If the above two ways fail, you can drill a 1" hole in the bellhousing and separate the clutch with a sharped, thin blade put in the hole.....Of course, you know you have to strap down your clutch pedal prior to doing this....

good luck...
