been goin steady on the old setter i got. it's just about all tore down and starting to go through and wire brush all the rust off so i can prime and paint. i have been having some trouble w/ the valve assembly in the back that sends out the shot of water, i was frozen up i got the plunger unstuck and was able to heat and remove the elbow where the hose from the water tank connects i then tried to get the other plug out but its very stuck tried heating and lots of pb blaster. does anyone know of some homemade concoction that can help free up frozen parts? also on the plunger there is a rubber looking washer that was completely dry rotted and basically fell to pieces i was able to salvage it to get some measurements does anyone know if a plumbing supply shop will have these type washers? thanks for any help, jim

I am not familar with the part you are talking about, but I am working on a '36 John Deere A that has a lot of "frozen" parts. I am a retired service tech (mechanic) and I have an air hammer that works wonders on seized parts. Also note that it is a high dollar air hammer (Matco) not a cheap "muffler" air hammer. There is a big differance.
