stuck 720 Diesel

Verify that you have 10 grand so the job doesn't
stop half way through as a pile of parts.
Find a old time heavy diesel shop with somebody on
the tools with a clue.
Obtain the service manual.

patchen1, I just replied to your question in the other post. I think the only way it will cost anywhere near 10 grand is if you send it to the Deere dealer or any other shop for that matter.

Depends on what you find and how high your standards are. For example conversion to a taper-loc flywheel is a common necessity and run a grand right there.
Injection system work, new pistons, resized rods, new mains, cam idler, machine work etc etc all add up.
On the otherhand, if you are only interested in a minimal patchup, enough to run? Less $$$ of course.

There is no magic elixer or trick to unstick a gallded engine. The only thing you can do is tear the engine down & fix what was damaged. No one can tell you what the damage is or even if it's worth repairing untill it is torn down & inspected.

Most of the time with seized two cylinders after
a rebuild. Is due to somebody using the new style
main bearing material and the old bearing material
clearances.
The new bearing material expands more.
The well intending rebuilder wanting max bearing
life rebuilds the engine with minimum clearances
and therefore the bearings seize.
If memory serves the mains need to be honed out
approx 4 thou looser than spec with the new
bearing material.
