hydraulic lift not working on Long 445 tractor

I have a Long 445 tractor. I changed the transmission tractor oil and now I cannot get my hydraulic lift to go up or down on my 3-point hitch. I was wondering if anyone had any info/help to get it working again...

I had a Long 560 many (30 or so) years ago and I seem to
remember the hydraulics not being the best. Lines more than
likely drained down requiring the pump to "self-prime". If the
pump is worn (probably) it may not be able to lift the fluid
against head pressure. Try loosening a pressure line fitting until
the pump "picks-up", retighten the fitting and cycle the 3-point.
Will take some use to work all the air out of the lines (lift will feel
"soft" until the air is eliminated. Did you clean the screen in the
return line?
