Buffing tire after using putty repair. Need advice

What is the best way to buff a tire smooth of excessive tire putty after a repair. I used the Rema tire putty to fill in a cut in a tire and want to grind down the excess for cosmetic reasons.

I dont know for sure what this putty is but we used to sharpen the bars on garden tractor tires for pulling. We bought these steel discs that fit an angle grinder. There were for grinding tires. Im thinking they were about $15 but cant remember where the guys got them

local dirt tracks that run modifieds, sportsmans, late models. Go to any speed shop they deal with will have the steel discs you mention, also at Dave Poskes on line, proformance bodies on line, and speed shop thats on line. they aren't $15 any more.
