stuck rack Simms Minimec FI pump mechanical governor

This pump is on a Ford Super Major. One day started right up but then ran fast with no throttle control. Then died. Will start and run on ether but stop when I stop spraying it. Seems no fuel at exit of injector ports (cracked lines to see).

I've the shop manual but no details on pump internals. Wonder if this is something I can disassemble and try to fix myself? I'm reasonably mechanically oriented. $500 or $600 to have pump rebuilt is real money which I'd rather save:)

Would like to have some idea with internals of pump before tearing into this. Anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Did you pull the inspection plate off and look inside to make sure the four pumps aren't stuck?
That unit is basically just four separate injection pump riding on top of a camshaft. And, that camshaft and injector pumps must have oil. I've had to unstick several over the years that never got checked for oil fill, got run dry, and jammed up. With most, I just filled with oil, popped them loose with a screw driver, and then all worked fine again. Cam lobes push the injectors up, and spring pressure sends them back down - just like a valve and valve spring in a cylinder head.
