john deere 60 decals

Does anybody know where all the decals go on a 1955 john deere 60 with power steering? got decals from trav jorde thanks

You did well by buying your decals from Travis. They are without a doubt the best and most correct available.

The large John Deere decals obviously go on the side of the hood. Most of the original tractors I have had here had this decal about 3 to 4 inches from the seam of the hood and grill. They are NOT centered on the hood. The smaller John Deere decal goes on the rear of the seat. I have seen these in various places over the years but for the most part are centered up and down and side to side. The tire inflation decal goes on the left side of the battery box and is centered. The trademark decal goes on the front of the battery box and is centered. The Roll-O-Matic decal goes on the ROM unit between the bolt holes. The air cleaner decal goes on the air cleaner above the cup. I have seen these at various heights over the years. I like to see them facing straight out from the tractor myself. The "60" decal can go in different places depending on the year of the tractor. I would have to do some measuring but the 60 decal goes about 7 inches or so from the bottom of the grille (it will look higher, and is, than a later tractor) and has an upward slant. If memory serves me right somewhere around 25 degrees will be very close. On both sides the "0" will be higher than the "6". The power steering decal DOES NOT go on the casting beneath the grille like it does on the later 20 and 30 series tractor. This decal will be centered beneath the "60" decal front to back and up and down above the bottom of the grille. I have seen the small 12v decal on both the sides of the box and also the rear. I just came in from measuring the decals on my original 70 tractor with power steering. The 70 decal is about 51/2 inches from the bottom of the grille and the power steering decal is an inch below that but still on the grille and not the casting. I have seen others at differing spacings but the general placement will be as mentioned. Hope this helps. Mike
