I recently lost the the person who inspired me to become the man I am today. My Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in mid January and only could only hang on until mid March. What a horrible disease. We never saw it coming.
It was his pictures and stories from his time in the Army during the Vietnam era that made me enlist and finally retire after 22 years and then follow in his footsteps as an elevator and escalator mechanic.
Over the last few years, I bought a small 18 acre farm about 3 miles from him and my first Ford Naa. He was so impressed by the old girl, that he went and bought one of his own. After a while, we were buying all we came across. We have 9 different models combined. Although he was never on this site, he would ask me to look up certain things and repair tips. You all have helped us fix and keep them running and he appreciated all of your knowledge.
Thank you all...
