Joseph Kochevar aka Lefty

Best remembered by me as the guy who could find a link to just about anything, no matter how obscure, and always willing to do it for anyone who asked. I can even remember him posting links to help my daughter with her homework. A near daily contributor to Tractor Tales in years past and a real asset to these forums in his time. Maybe those who knew him better can elaborate. Just wanted to make sure he got the spot here he deserved. From his obituary:

"Joseph D. Kochevar 62 of Ladysmith; died on Thursday; April 23rd, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He is survived by 2 sisters: Deb & Tony Wojcik of Sheldon and Darlene & Paul Sieg of Tony. He is also survived by nieces and nephews."

Sorry it took so long for me to find this.

Lefty had the ability to be funny without being offensive. He was an all-around nice guy with a kind word for everyone. I don't EVER remember him using the anonymity of the internet to take cheap shots at folks. Not many (especially me) can say that.

His Google-foo was legendary. If there was information out there on nearly any subject, Lefty would find it for ya. He knew more off the top of his head about small engines and yard equipment than I've learned in a lifetime.

His slightly twisted sense of humor always gave me a chuckle. In that sense, we were kindred spirits.

He'll be sadly missed.
