For stock stroke, put 350 sleeves in it. should have a 8043DD head if its a true super H engine. Pull the cam out check the number. look at the rocker arms for wear, tips and bushings in em get grooved and sloppy. replace em if needed.
Check the governor for wear, bearings, and weight pins, replace anything suspicious, you can shave some weight off the weights.
The distributor,, tear it apart, fix anything you see worn or broken.
make sure the head is good, new valves and guides, and maybe shave some off the surface to bump the cyl pressure up.
3 springs. 3 springs to rule it all. 3 springs that transforms your tractor into a puller! Like a key, they unlock potential.

3 springs, together, well, its been told that they are magic. well, try em and youll see.
two of these magic springs are in the distributor on the mechanical advance. stock, they are heavy tension. put a lighter set of springs on the pegs. while you have the distributor apart,, eggshape the hole thatthe rotor cam stop set in,, to the right ans your holding it in your hand looking down at it. this can give you a few extra degrees of timing and help tune in a more accurate base timing. the lite springs, allow the advance to operate faster, and ensures the timing to be changed and all in by the time rated rpm is reached. faster throttle responce, and better lugging power, faster starts have been reported!!! Signs of magic ???,,,,

The third and last spring is the governor spring.

One day while tuning our 53 Super H,,, a blast of light appeared,, and when it went away, there was this spring, where the light was!! Picked the spring, it had a little tag on it. Said, "magic governor spring." Put that thing in the Super H, and WHOA MAN!!! it was like a shot of nitrous. Had to rejet the carb, cause the governor operated as such a fast pace. stock, could not keep up with it!! throttle responce and low end power increased have been reported. rated rpm hp increased by 5 hp minimum! Just by a magic spring. It lugged out longer,,, on the track,,, seemed to hold the carb open till the last rpm.
Break in,,,, your looking at 10-15 hours of break in before you dyno it for power. triple check all bolt torques. they work loose and throws stuff off. rings have to be seated in, and light loads, oil changes, retorque the head bolts a few times. Hope this helps,,,,, should be in the 48-53 hp range depending on the head. if thats not enough,, bigger ci displacements options are available ChadS ChadS3@hotmail.com

Chad S. you said to look at the cam number what number should it be. Where do I get a stiffer spring for the govenor and lighter springs for the distributor. As for the camshaft if I were to get reground should I go stock or something different. Thanks Mike
