We have found the best way to get a large increase is stroking the crank. We normally stroke them out to about 5.8". And while we are doing this we bore the crank case out to accept 4.562" sleeves and in some cases we go to 4.625". There are about 3 different rod applications we can use. Normally our piston of choice is Arias. This seems to be modifications you can make for a reasonable price and is also quite reliable. As in any modified engine, when you increase the cubic inches you must also increase the volumetric efficiency of the engine which calls for possible cam and cylinder head modifications. We have sleeves in stock and crankshaft cores in stock. We also stock 2 camshafts which are what we normally use in this engine.
