I want to lower the weight of my Oliver Super 77. I have been told I can lose over 200 lbs. by changing the bathtub to one from an Oliver 77. I would like to know how much more I could lose by also changing the rear-end. Pleae advise!!!!

I have a 1953 77 with hyd and pto intact. Belt pulley gearbox is gone. Pressed steel all the way around with 14.9's and it weighs 3900-4000 depending on whose scales I am on. That is with me on it and I weigh 175.

Thank you for your response. I have done considerable reasearch and keep coming back to the idea of finding a 77 chasis with it's drum brakes and lighter bath-tub.

Thank You

Mark You can lose weight if you can find a 66 narrow front or build a home made wide front. Are you on pressed steel on all wheels. Take the belt pulley & gear box off. Hyd cover, pto. Not sure now low you want to go? This should get you under 4000lbs. Mike
