I have a 1952 A and yesterday (08-23-03) I pulled 5500-6500lb. with 18.4x38 cut tires. My A is stock with a power block. I didn't lose hardly any rpm's so good luck pullin'.

a powerblock has no petcocks(compression releases) in it and it will give it more power, but doesn't effect the way it will pull in low.

i have a 1950 jd A i pull with, if it has a powerblock it will be stamped on the block behind the manifold, unless someone ground it off. or it will sound alot deeper. my friend pulls a 52' Jd A with a powerblock, we both run out of traction before power, mine is totally stock and i pull up to the 6500# class.
