My son is looking to buy a DC and I have no idea what can be done to one. I have researched alot and came to the understanding that the rear mains do not hold up. Looking for help on what can be done to make a DC stout and hold up to 70-80 hp? I've also read that mEL is the person to talk to about one of these, does he still frequent here?

DC Case tractors are plenty strong and great pullers..They are well balanced and seem to put power the the rear wheels very evenly. There was one in my area that was hard to beat for years..
I heard rumor that you can put high compression 454 chevy pistons in them.. Fill the water jackets with concrete. Pull them and shut them off.. I had a bone stock DC with good Firestone tires that I pulled and won many "Stock Antique Tractor" pulls..most of those pulls are gone.. They used to Dyno winning tractors but that stopped...They let anything run in stock classes now in most places and chase all us low buck guys out..
It's hard to want to load up the trailer and spend $$$ on gas to leave knowing you will never finish beyond 10th even with what was a very competitive stock pulling tractor a few years back..

Have three DCs that are pullers. Need to free up some space in the shed. Take one or all! Call or text (eight one five) nine ten thirty sixty
