Stock gears for pulling 560

Anybody still using stock gears in a stock 560 for pulling 6,000-6,500lb classes and if so is your first gear real slow?
My 560 has a real low 1st gear but 2nd gear is usually too fast.

Not uncommon for a first gear to be a bit extra slow.

they have tillage gears that are slower,but I think maybe only 3rd and 4 th ??

Stock first gear in a 560 is about 2.25 mph. In a 460,400,450, M it is like 2.6 mph. Why ih did this I don't know. They do have a optional high speed first that will get you to 3 mph with no load. I put one in mine, a lot of work and I don't see any gain. Just gives a old man like me less time to react.

The 400 and 450 run 2.5 in DD-1 and 2.6 in TA-2.

everyone I know pulls there stock 560 gas or diesel in 2nd low , 2.6 mph if they're pulling in the lower classes .

The horn sounded on the sled running 2nd TA. Speed limit was 3.5 mph. There's now way it was even close to 3.5mph with stock rpms and tires. Pulled for years and never had a problem running 2nd gear TA in the pasts.

I pull 460 which I think but not positive has fast 2nd gear.. I pull div 3 6mph in second with 16.9 38s and can make horn blow easily 20% over rpms

you would have had to do 2425 rpm to blow the horn . it's your tractor is that likely ?
