Oxygenated Gas

Anyone running any of the oxygenated fuels like VP Crate or the others? Did you have to make many changes from say VP 110? Thanks for any replies.

Have a friend that is a big fan of
it. Talked me into getting some. I
personally don't see enough benefits
to justify price.

Just like all things in Liofe, not a one size fits all. Some engines don't like it,some do,some tuners know how to tweak for it some don't.Bigger gains for poorly tuned tractors, not so much if full potential is already realized. Depends on compression, squish, timing, mixture settings.

i saw your questions on fuel i build motors and in the tests we have done oxy fuels have shown no added power .matching the fuel to your
compression ratio seams to be very helpfull and for the most part we have had much better results with sunnoco. every motor is different and
there is a sweet spot for every one . hope this helps i will give my no too anyone looking for help . good luck

Rick, Since the oxygenated fuel claims to bring some of it's own oxygen to the party you need to add fuel to burn that oxygen. Are you saying you don't see a HP increase even after adding fuel? Just curious, I have not used the fuel...just asking a question ...not trying to start something. Thanks

The owner of the machine shop I used for dyno testing verified the oxygenated fuel claims of 3%-5% HP gain for racing engines and I would guess this translates to tractors. However, our fuel supplier says there is a catch to oxygenated fuel. Unless it is stored in sealed containers, it loses the ability to increase HP. If it stays in the tractor all week, not returned to a sealed container at the end of the day, may as well use the money at the food stand.

Awh come on guys we all know you can double the hp. We pulled a cub cadet, back in the 70?s. Ran it on 90% nitromethane 10% alcohol. 12hp
kohler would pull in high gear. We used a windshield washer pump. Then two at high rpm. No jets in carb. Just ran better the more we put in.
You guys watch Street Outlaws. Steel body , vin no. Cars, running 4?s and 200 mph in a 1/8.. Claiming 4000 hp. Doubt they are running turbo
blue gas.

Yes my boy has run it in his an worked very good. He pulled the tractor in one higher gear and spun out in the 5500 class and it never did it before. We did have to run more fuel to it tho and the fuel stinks bad just been it the fuel tank. I myself run vp 12 or 16 in mine. I also with this fuel was able to go to a higher gear by just adding the vp and open the carb for more fuel.
