Firestone FWD tires on the rear?

Our old Massey takes the 16.9-28 tire. I have found a nice set of Firestone FWD R-1 Radials that are about 40%... has anyone ever tried these MFWD tires on the rear of a tractor or better yet, has anyone ever pulled on like that? Thanks!

I have just seen one tractor pull with that
tire. He was last. They look made to slip.
Tread in the middle going wrong way.

I put a lot of those on tractors that had heavy implements mounted on them. They work great on the farm.

Most rules that I have seen don't allow radials. I find it hard to believe that a tire is built to slip. Gearing ratios are carefully set up to make sure that the front turns slightly faster than the rear. If it were designed to slip the tractor would not turn in soft ground.
