Oliver Light front axles

Has anybody built a good front axle and have it turn out good for a an oliver 1850 I have a wheat land front axle off of a 1800 I was going to cut apart and use some square tubing I was just looking for some other ideas before I start cutting all of it apart my weight class will be 7,500 to 8,500 farm stock

I would think about one from a smaller combine. I have saved one from a Gleaner A. They are tapered out from middle. 6 hole hubs.
 
Always thought a rear axle from an Allis Chalmers 100 All Crop combine would make a good front axle for a pulling tractor.Its narrower than most wide fronts but its built pretty strong.
Have a couple I'd like to trade on the Oliver front.
