Best size tire for a Farmall H

What would be the best tire size to run on a Farmall H. The Tractor is basically stock. I?m using 12.4 -38 now that are Kelly Springfield with a 45 degree. Not sure if it will have enough power to turn 13.6-38 ? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks

if you are "stock",you are basically stuck with smallest tire.A friend of mine with super H and 87 hp runs 18.4 x 38 and people laugh till they see Him pull. Happy Holidays.

If you're starting to pull the engine down now: the larger tires will likely put it down. It you appear to have power left, you may be okay. Every situation different. A stock H around here will usually power out before half track regardless of tire size.

Tire size is largely dependent on track type.
If you aren't pulling real hard clay, giant tires can hurt you traction wise.
I would run 13.6-38's on my low geared H. They wouldn't grab worth anything till 6500lbs class around here.
All stock classes of course.

I had 12.4's on it and it was much more competitive in lighter classes.

How big a tire does your rules allow. 15.5x38. That is what I would run. I went to Tunica Southern Nationals this month. Had 14.9X38 tires. The rules there allow 16.9 x38 radials. 3.5 mph top cut. 3500 lbs I did get 4th. But you can bet I will have 16.9s or step up to 4 mph full cut. 18.4 x 38. I have them.
