1952 John Deere A. I have 13-6-38 tires on a 12" rim. I pull in the 6000 lb thru the 7500 lb classes. Have plenty of power at the end of the pull and usually idle it clear down to get that last little bit of traction. And then it just spins out. I would like to put a little wider tires on it. Can I put a wider tire on that 12" rim. I was thinking about trying to find a couple used 15-5-38 ???? Open to any and all suggestions

Yes you can but not the ideal setup. Will need to run less air pressure in order to get them to flatten out. I would prefer a 14.9x38. Taller tire, will not balloon as bad on a narrow rim, and most 14.9 will have a bigger footprint than the 15.5.

Yes you can. But I would rather have 14.9 they are taller. Will speed you up a little.you do have the slow 1st gear.
