Steering Shaft

I did similar project past Winter. Was 310TD in Super 88. The 310 I used had the cast in oil cooler. Had to redirect steering shaft outside of frame. Worked well and came out pretty clean. If this is what you have I will look for some pics. If you don't have the cast cooler, I THINK the original shaft setup will work. If you have any other questions I will be glad to help.

I thought I had more pics but all I could find was this one. I will take some better pics but won't be for a week or so. Tractor originally had Charlyn PS. I bought a piece of CR 3/4 dia. round, steering universal joint from Steiner (I think), and some flanged 3/4" ID bronze bushings. Then fabricated a couple brackets. Rear mounts to bellhousing, front mounts to cultivator pad. Angle of universal joint is at max but works without binding. Pictures will help a lot. Also, you will have to remove or heavily modify the side panels on right side. I fabricated new ones. BTW, was recommended to me to get ceramic button clutch and HD pressure plate as stock will not hold up.
