Clutch

I installed a new four button clutch with a 12 spring (yellow) pressure plate in my 880. The clutch disengages and engages very high on the peddle travel. I adjusted the peddle lever rod and I have a little play when the clutch is all the way out with no tension on it. Its like there isn't much clutch there?

When I put a (big) clutch in my D17 I had to change the bracket where the throw out bearing runs. Then I put a turnbuckel in the rod. Did you measure before put engine in?

You may have to put a step on your flywheel.

Did you adjust fingers on pressure plate? Had to adjust them on mine when I installed button clutch and HD pressure plate in Super 88 diesel. Bit of a pain in the butt as the nuts were welded.
