Im wanting to remove the hyd under steering column but keep the power steering. My question is if I remove all the flow control valves and leave the sides left and right to support the steering and hood.... can I make plates to cover the holes on the left side... will this just cause a hyd lock or will the hy trans just re circulate into the transmission?... I would prefer to eliminate the valve on the bottom also but the top three valves for the hyd valves and fast hitch would be sufficient. I was thinking this way I could keep my power steering and reduce weight and stay in div 2. Ive built a box to support the column but Im afraid in div2 that someone wouldn't like it and not to mention I wont have power steering. any info on this would be appreciated if someone has done it themselves. open to other ideas as well if someone has done it a different way. thanks

I removed all the hydraulic valves and kept the power steering on the 560D I tractor ride with. The main pump body and power steering pump stay, but the main pump idler gear is removed. If you like call some evening, five seven four eight three five 3292, be glad to tell you what all I removed.

If you decided not to remove all of your gears that drive the main pump and want to keep power steering some people just remove the main pump section gears so it doesn't, pump and keep the small steering section. You should be able to look at the small line porting when taking the flow control valves out and be okay.
